Hollywood Park in Inglewood to introduce new retailers this summer

Date:

Inglewood, California – Hollywood Park, the biggest urban multi-purpose mega project currently being built in the Western U.S., has announced the addition of new retail stores set to launch this summer. This includes JD Sports, Iconix Fitness, and Cosm Los Angeles, all expected to open in Summer 2024. These new stores will be joining already open businesses such as Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and Residency Art Gallery, as well as upcoming ones like Google’s Code Next Lab. Located at Prairie Avenue and Century Boulevard in Inglewood, Hollywood Park aims to be a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

“Hollywood Park was designed to be a global destination where people live, work and play, and the addition of these retailers brings us closer to that vision,” said Rob Aylesworth, Project Director, Hollywood Park. “We are pleased to welcome JD Sports, Iconix Fitness and Cosm to our growing retail portfolio, giving people more reasons to come visit this one-of-a-kind destination.”

The development is spearheaded by E. Stanley Kroenke, the owner and chairman of the Los Angeles Rams. It features retail spaces, offices, upscale residences, public parks, a lake, and top-tier entertainment facilities, all interconnected by walkable paths and plazas. At the heart of this development is the 3.1 million square-foot SoFi Stadium and the nearby YouTube Theater.

JD Sports, a leading UK-based sports fashion retailer, is set to open a 7,500 square-foot store later this year at Hollywood Park. It will offer the latest in footwear and fashion from major brands like Nike, Jordan, Adidas, and New Balance, among others. JD Sports will also feature stylish accessories and sportswear collections, including Nike Tech Fleece.

Iconix Fitness is gearing up to launch a massive 56,000 square foot flagship facility at Hollywood Park. Spread across three levels, this state-of-the-art fitness center will offer cutting-edge equipment, professional trainers, a broad range of group fitness classes, luxurious amenities, and unique social events for members in its impeccably maintained setting. Later in the year, the center will also unveil a rooftop area that includes a junior Olympic-sized pool and an outdoor workout space. A significant aspect of Iconix Fitness is its commitment to fostering community connections through enjoyable events and contributing positively to the local areas where they operate.

Cosm, a frontrunner in immersive technology and entertainment, is set to open its pioneering experiential venue at Hollywood Park on June 29, 2024. The venue will feature a groundbreaking Shared Reality production of UFC 303, which will simultaneously occur at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Cosm’s venue boasts a 65,000 square foot space equipped with an 87-foot-wide 8K+ LED dome, providing fight enthusiasts in the Los Angeles area a virtual Octagon-side experience during one of the year’s most anticipated UFC matchups.

The venue is designed to offer a new dimension in viewing sports, music, and immersive art, integrating advanced architectural and visual technologies. This setup enhances the audience’s experience, making them feel as though they’re at the center of the action, with premium food and drink services to enhance the atmosphere.

Before its public opening on June 29, Cosm will host a series of exclusive events, including live productions of the 2024 NBA Finals and the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals, along with immersive exhibitions from prominent creators in the Cosm Studios Creator Program. A full lineup of these events will be announced as the opening date approaches.

Upon completion, Hollywood Park will transform into a vast complex featuring up to five million square feet of creative office space, nearly 890,000 square feet of retail areas, a 300-room hotel, and as many as 2,500 luxury residences. This sprawling development will include extensive outdoor spaces, adjacent to the 12-acre Lake Park and woven through with 25 acres of tree-filled public parks and open areas.

The retail segment of Hollywood Park kicked off in 2023 with the opening of Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, marking the first cinema in Inglewood in almost three decades. Following close behind was the Residency Art Gallery, which offers a space for artists of color. More tenants will continue to launch in this nearly 300-acre mixed-use area in a phased manner.
